Friday's Regionals Action Results in Top-15 Finishes for Bisons and Flames

Women's Cross Country Schedule

ATLANTA, Ga. - Friday morning's ASUN Conference Women's Cross Country action saw seven teams represented at three sites for the NCAA Regional Championships. Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, North Florida and Stetson competed at the South Regional while Liberty ran in the field at the Southeast Regional and NJIT participated in the Mid-Atlantic Regional.

The ASUN Champion Bisons finished 10th overall among the field of 27 teams at the South Regional. Senior Brooke Kingma had the team's top time placing 32nd with a time of 21:04.7. The next two finishers for Lipscomb were Hannah Owens (21:10.7, 42nd) and ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year Lauren Flynt (21:14.6, 45th). The Ospreys finished 21st as a team and were led by Camryn Cooney (22:14.5, 93rd). Raquel Lespasio (22:30.2, 113th) and Grace Gumpel (22:36.1, 124th) were the next two to cross the line for UNF. Sarah Hendrick led a group of four Owls with her 79th-place finish with a time of 21:56.6 and was joined in the top-100 finishers by teammate Katie Meyer (22:18.7, 100th). The two other ASUN programs in attendance, Jacksonville and Stetson, were each represented by one runner in Friday's 6K with Hayleigh Palotti (22:37.1, 125th) competing for the Dolphins and Melanie Pacheco (23:21.8, 162nd) for the Hatters.

At the Southeast Regional, the Flames finished 13th overall in the field 34 teams and were led by Calli Parlier (20:57.5, 26th). Priscillah Kiplagat (21:46.0, 69th), Emma Bower (21:55.2, 81st) and Brittany Carnathan (22:08.2, 94th) were the next three to cross the line for Liberty and for top-100 finishes in the 6K that included over 250 runners. Parlier improved upon her performance from last year's regional where she finished 41st.

The Highlanders finished 31st overall in Friday morning's Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bethlehem, Pa. Kelly Dicristina (23:31.1, 177th) led NJIT and was followed by Cassandra Raia (23:53.8, 192nd), Laila Hill-Glover (24:01.0, 193rd) and Chloe Jelly (24:04.6, 196th) as the next three finishers for the team. Raia and Jelley both shaved time off their regional finishes from last season.

The ASUN Conference is an NCAA Division I league with nine member institutions committed to Building Winners for Life.
