FLORENCE, Ala. (RoarLions.com) - Shelby Wall scored her conference-leading 14th and 15th goals of the season to lead the University of North Alabama women's soccer team to a 2-0 ASUN Conference win over Stetson.
The win improves UNA's record to 6-9 overall, 2-4 in conference play and keeps the Lions hopes alive of possibly earning a spot in the ASUN Conference Tournament. Stetson is now 2-10-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the league.
Wall's first goal of the night came at the 32:45 mark off an assist from Kate Wiseman. She then added her second goal of the evening at 66:24 off an assist from Anna Bove'.
Wall's 15 goals lead the conference and she has scored the second most goals in NCAA Division I women's soccer this season. She also pushed her career goals total at UNA to 37.
Kate Webster got her third shutout of the season for the Lions in goal with three saves. UNA held a slim 12-10 advantage in shots.
North Alabama returns to the pitch on Friday, October 25 at Kennesaw State.
