ATLANTA, Ga. - With the 2019-20 ASUN Women's Basketball season approaching, we scope out our nine conference squads in preparation of the 35th season. Today, we spotlight the Kennesaw State Owls which enters their fourth season under Head Coach Agnus Berenato who has coached a three-peat of unanimous ASUN Conference Freshman of the Year recipients. 

The Owls welcome back nine returnees from last seasons roster that had a 7-4 record at home. Of the nine returners are Kamiyah Street and Alexis Poole, both voted to the Preseason All-Conference team. Street, the 2017-18 ASUN Freshman of the Year and All-Conference First Team honoree last season, led the ASUN in scoring last season with a 16.9 points per game average. The junior guard also led the league in field goals made (213) and steals (94). Poole averaged 14.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game just a season ago while grabbing 252 total rebounds. Kennesaw State also returns Amani Johnson and Carlotta Gianolla, the 2018-19 and 2016-17 Freshman of the Year winners, respectively. 

KSU opens up the 2019-20 campaign on the road against SEC foe Georgia on Nov. 7, before hosting Samford (Nov. 9) and Mercer (Nov. 13). The Owls will also face ACC and in-state opponent Georgia Tech at home on Dec. 8, before league play kicks off on Jan. 4, against Stetson.
