ATLANTA, Ga. - In the ASUN Conference's newest video initiative, The Lunch Box, ASUN Director of Social Media Kendrell Watkins catches up with member coaches and student-athletes each week throughout the 2019-20 academic year. Oct. 3 | Jacksonville Women's Basketball Senior Center Shalonda Neely
This week's episode features Jacksonville Women's Basketball standout Shalonda Neely. The senior center returns for the Dolphins after making 12 starts and appearing in 30 games in her 2018-19 campaign. The native of Freeport, Grand Bahama speaks on adjusting to new Head Coach Darnell Haney last year and the optimism in preparing for the upcoming season. Neely also opens up about her Bahamian upbringing, chef aspirations as well as the relief efforts in her homeland in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.

Shalonda Neely also expressed her gratitude for the amount of assistance the Jacksonville University Athletic Department has extended to her family and friends in the Bahamas. The Dolphins donated 50 percent of all ticket sales from their football home opener on Sept. 21, to the Neely family.
