  • Norman, Paret, Julylia Earn @ASUNBSB Preseason Awards; Liberty Favored to Capture Title

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Three teams split the top ASUN Conference Baseball Preseason honors as Kennesaw State's Terence Norman was voted the Preseason Player of the Year, Stetson's Daniel Paret took home the Preseason Pitcher of the Year honor and Dakota Julylia of Jacksonville was voted the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, announced by the league office on Wednesday. Defending tournament champion Liberty was favored in the Coaches Poll to claim the league title with five first-place votes, narrowly ahead of regular-season champion FGCU with the remaining four first-place tallies.

    ATLANTA, GA. - Jacob deGrom collected his second consecutive Major League Baseball (MLB) Cy Young Award it was announced Wednesday night. deGrom received 29-of-30 first-place votes for the second straight year as well with the other first-place tally going to the Los Angeles Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu.

    ATLANTA, Ga. – The ASUN Conference announced its 2020 Baseball schedule on Wednesday with all nine teams slated to play eight three-game series beginning Friday, March 20, and running through Saturday, May 16. The upcoming year marks the 42nd season of competition in the ASUN.
