ATLANTA, Ga. - Justin Russell of Kennesaw State and Lipscomb's Noah Thompson take home the season's final ASUN Conference Baseball weekly awards. Russell had an offensive explosion to lead the Owls to a 3-1 week, while Thompson tossed a complete game shutout in his final start of the regular season. 

Russell captures his first ASUN Player of the Week award after a huge week with the bat. The junior infielder hit .389 last week with four homers and nine RBIs. In the conference weekend series against Jacksonville, Russell upped his game by registering a .417 average (5-12) with three jacks and five runs knocked in. In Friday's 10-0 rout of Jacksonville, Russell socked two homers and drove in four runs. He finished the regular season as the ASUN's leader in home runs and slugging percentage with marks of 12 and .609. 

Thompson turned in his best start of the year in his final start of the regular season. The sophomore southpaw tossed a complete game shutout against North Alabama with eight strikeouts, while surrendering just four hits and two walks. His eight strikeouts upped his season total to 53, which places him second on the team and in the top 20 of the ASUN. With their sweep of North Alabama, Lipscomb secured the No. 3 seed in the ASUN Championship this weekend in DeLand, Fla.

- Jacked four homers and knocked in nine runs for the week, while slugging 1.056 and recording an OBP of .450
- In a 10-0 rout of Jacksonville, Russell hit two homers and knocked in four runs for the Owls
- Finished the regular season as the ASUN's leader in home runs and slugging with 12 and .609 respectively
