ATLANTA, Ga. - The weekend of ASUN Conference Baseball rolled on, on Saturday afternoon as three teams clinched series victories. Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and FGCU secured wins over NJIT, Stetson and North Alabama to take the weekend series.

Kennesaw State started Saturday's action out with a wild victory in game one of a double-header with NJIT. After trailing for much of the contest, KSU erupted for nine runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by homers from Justin Russell and Terence Norman to take a 10-5 lead. The Highlanders responded by scoring five runs in the bottom half to tie the score. KSU wasn't done with their scoring though, as they tacked on three runs in the top of the 9th to take the lead for good. The Owls came back in game two and showcased another display of offensive excellence. KSU exploded for 18 runs, including nine runs in the fourth inning. Six different Owls posted multi-RBI efforts with Tyler Tolve and Justin Russell leading the way with four a piece.
Lipscomb took game two of the series from Stetson on Saturday afternoon in Nashville, as the Bisons took down the Hatters by a score of 5-3. Haddon Adams was the difference in the ball game for Lipscomb, as he socked a three-run home run. Tevin Symonette also contributed with a solo shot. Noah Thompson fired 6.1 innings, allowing just three earned runs to pick up his third victory of the year.
FGCU also secured the series victory on Saturday as they dispatched North Alabama, 7-2 in Fort Myers. Keith Stevens and Richie Garcia led the offensive charge for the Eagles. Stevens went 2-3 with a walk and two RBIs, while Garcia provided some fireworks with a two-run jack in the seventh inning to add some insurance for FGCU. FGCU pitching held UNA to just two runs on two hits.
North Florida picked up a non-conference W on Saturday afternoon in the River City, as the Ospreys breezed by Florida A&M, 9-1. UNF scored runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings, highlighted by a four-run fifth in which Blake Marabell socked a three-run homer to blow the game wide open. Brad Deppermann continues to cruise, as he fired six innings of one run baseball with nine strikeouts. The Ospreys close out the series with a double-header on Sunday afternoon.
Jacksonville evened up the series with Liberty on Saturday night, as they closed out the day's action with a 8-3 rout of Liberty. The Dolphins did all their damage in the first two innings as they plated seven of their eight runs in the first and second innings. After scoring four runs in the first on just one hit, Jacob Southern came up in the bottom of the second and smacked a three-run shot to make it 7-0. Starting pitcher AJ Jones was on cruise control from there, as he fired seven innings of one run ball with four strikeouts.
