Meagan Edwards joined the ASUN Conference staff as a Championships Assistant in September 2017 and was promoted to Director of Championships in July 2018. In this role, Edwards oversees ASUN Championship operations, coordinates the Conference’s awards program and serves as the primary sport administrator for Tennis, Cross Country and Track and Field.
Prior to joining the league office, Edwards spent one year as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at Stetson University. At Stetson, Edwards was responsible for coordinating team travel, supervising student staff, overseeing equipment, assisting with recruiting efforts and organizing a variety of special events. The Hatters finished the 2016-2017 season as the ASUN regular season champions.
Edwards arrived at Stetson after spending four seasons with the University of California, Berkeley women's basketball program. As the Assistant Director of Operations, Edwards managed the team’s equipment budget, served as co-camp director, handled administrative duties for the team's booster club and coordinated community outreach activities.
Edwards holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Florida. During her time in Gainesville, Edwards served as head manager for the Florida women's basketball team, volunteered with the University Athletic Association’s Marketing department and spent time supporting a variety of campus events at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
A native of Dade City, Florida, Edwards now resides in Macon, Ga.
