  • NJIT Duo, FGCU's O'Neal Collect @ASUNWBB Weekly Honors

    ATLANTA, Ga. - NJIT's Milena Bajic and Kenna Squire and FGCU's Ashli O'Neal earned ASUN Conference Women's Basketball weekly honors, announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Bajic earned the first Player of the Week award for NJIT this season, while O'Neal became just the third player in ASUN Women's Basketball history to earn three-straight honors. Squire became just the second Highlander recognized as the Freshman of the Week since the award started in the 2017-18 season.

    LYNCHBURG, Va. (liberty.edu/flames) -- Liberty (21-11) continues its postseason run, competing at Georgia Tech (23-8) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at O'Keefe Gymnasium. The Lady Flames downed La Salle (3-2) on Saturday before defeating High Point (3-1) on Sunday, with both matches in the Vines Center. Georgia Tech hosted first and second-round matches for the second year in a row, defeating Alabama A&M and Troy.
  • FGCU Routs Florida Memorial 91-47 on Monday Night

    FORT MYERS, Fla. (fgcuathletics.com) - Sheahen Dowling matched her career-high with 10 points as the FGCU women's basketball team (10-1) routed Florida Memorial (6-6) 91-47 to win their seventh-straight game. The Eagles had 11 players reach the scoring column, including five in double figures, led by Ashli O'Neal's 15 off the bench.­

    ATLANTA, Ga. - North Florida's Carter Hendricksen netted his second career Player of the Week award while Jacksonville's Destin Barnes collected the first Newcomer of the Week honor of his career, announced by the league office on Monday. Both players led their respective squads to 1-1 records on the week with a pair of double-digit scoring efforts.

    LYNCHBURG, Va. (liberty.edu/flames) -- Liberty redshirt junior outside hitter Amelia Johnson has been named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-America Volleyball Team®, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Johnson was voted to the third team.

    ATLANTA, Ga. – A total of six ASUN Conference Men's Soccer student-athletes were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Atlantic Region Teams it was announced Monday. ASUN Champion NJIT landed Rene White on the First Team while teammate Andrew Nino earned a Third Team nod. Stetson earned a Second Team selection in Ian McCauley while FGCU (Shak Adams, O'Vonte Mullings) and Lipscomb (Ben Locke) were represented on the Third Team.

The winner will face the winner of High Point (20-12, 12-2 Big South) and Morehead State (23-9, 12-4 OVC), Sunday at 3 p.m.

A month into the Men's Basketball season, four teams have a .500 or better record in non-conference play: Liberty (10-0), North Florida (6-4), Stetson (5-5) and North Alabama (4-4).
