    ATLANTA, Ga. - Lipscomb's Lauren Flynt was voted the 2019 ASUN Conference Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, highlighting the seven-member All-Academic Team. Brenner becomes the fifth individual from Lipscomb to earn the academic accolade.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Lipscomb's Brent Leber followed up his victory at the 2019 ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country Championship by being tabbed the Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Wednesday by the league office. Leber becomes the second Bisons' Men's Cross Country runner to win the award after Jacob Poyner took home the honor in 2017.

    LYNCHBURG, Va. - All night Liberty's defense was exceptional as the Flames improve to 3-0 for the second straight season with a 65-39 win over South Carolina State, setting the school record for the fewest points allowed against a Division I opponent. The Flames allowed just 13 points in the first half while 10 different players scored for Liberty throughout the game.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - North Alabama's Olivia Noah and Jaida Bond, as well as Alexis Poole of Kennesaw State, were at the top of their game in season debuts, playing their way to being selected as the first ASUN Conference Women's Basketball weekly award winners of the 2019-20 season, announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Poole was named Player of the Week, Noah was tabbed Newcomer of the Week while her teammate Bond was selected as the Freshman of the Week.

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Four ASUN Conference Men's Soccer student-athletes were named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams, announced today by the organization. FGCU's TC Anderson and Jahan Rajaee along with North Florida's Torian Went were selected to the District 4 Team while Liberty's Ruben Garcia was a selection for District 3. Garcia, Rajaee and Went are also members of the 2019 ASUN Men's Soccer All-Academic Team with Garcia being named ASUN Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

    Behind the largest crowd in the Vines Center in the last 10 years, Liberty opened up the 2019-20 season with a 66-60 win over in-state rival, Radford. It was a battle between two of the best mid-major programs in the country and Liberty's defense showed up, limiting the Highlanders to shoot just 37 percent from the floor.

The Highlanders' Rene White captured the Player of the Year award, Samuel Reisgys was voted Goalkeeper of the Year, Freshman of the Year honors went to Alejandro Rabell while Fernando Barboto took home Coach of the Year. Stetson's Ian McCauley was named the recipient of the Defensive Player of the Year award.
  • Liberty's Fuchs Wraps Fall Season with Third Career @ASUN_Golf Accolade

    ATLANTA, Ga. - Liberty's Alexandre Fuchs posted three-straight rounds in the 60s in Hawaii to earn his third career ASUN Conference Men's Golfer of the Week status, announced Thursday by the league office. Fuchs finished in a tie for fifth place in a field that consisted of seven top-45 teams nationally as he led the field in par-5 scoring.
