LakePoint, Ga. - Sunday's ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse action saw Jacksonville remain undefeated in league play as they won on the road at Coastal Carolina to take over the lead in the standings. Old Dominion picked up a critical win against Stetson, while Kennesaw State suffered a tough overtime loss.

Jacksonville moved to the top of the standings as they withstood an early Coastal Carolina onslaught to come away with a 13-11 win. Sarah Elms scored a team-high five goals, while Erin McGuire and Ashtyn Hiron scored two late goals to secure the victory. Haley Kyger had a hat trick for Coastal, with Harley Barrett making 13 saves. The Chanticleers came out on fire, leading 4-0 inside the first five minutes. After a timeout, Jacksonville got on the board and slowly started chipping away at the lead. A 5-0 scoring run midway through the period made it 6-6, and the teams traded goals late in the half to make it an 8-8 game at intermission. In the second half, defenses took over as both teams combined for eight goals. Erin McGuire broke an 11-11 tie with 2:22 to go to give JU the lead. Hiron then forced a critical turnover, and Lillie Miller scored the final goal to make it 13-11.
In Norfolk, Va. it was another close ASUN Conference match as Old Dominion picked up an 12-11 win against Stetson. The Monarchs opened the game on fire scoring the first three goals, but the Hatters responded with four straight. Old Dominion regained control to take an 8-5 lead into halftime as MK Maloney scored the final goal of the period. Sophie Richie scored to open the second half, but it was the Hatters that made another strong run to pull even at 10-10. Cydney Tutchton and Richie scored to make it 12-10, before Stetson pulled one goal back. Monarchs' keeper Lauren Ely then saved the game in the final minute as she came up with a crucial save to protect the one-goal lead.
