  • @ASUNWLax Teams and Student-Athletes Recognized by IWLCA

    LakePoint, Ga. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) honored teams and individuals on Monday, July 23rd for their academic achievements. All six ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse teams from this past season and newcomer Liberty received recognition, as well as 30 student-athletes were recognized for their academic success in 2017-18.
  • ASUN Conference Announces Liberty University as League Member for 2018-19

    LYNCHBURG, Va. – The ASUN Conference announced today the induction of Liberty University into the league after a unanimous vote by the ASUN Presidents Council. The Flames will become a member of the ASUN Conference starting with the 2018-19 season alongside the University of North Alabama, bringing the ASUN membership up to nine.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Receiving votes for the second-straight week in the Cascade Women's Division I Media Poll, Jacksonville University women's lacrosse will take on No. 15 Colorado in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament this Friday, May 11 at the University of Florida's Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After earning the ASUN Conference automatic bid over the weekend for its second-straight and fifth overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Jacksonville University women's lacrosse will be headed to Gainesville, Fla. to face Colorado on Friday, May 11.

    No. 1 seed Jacksonville won its fifth ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship title on Saturday afternoon as they took down No. 2 Coastal Carolina 25-19. With the win the Dolphins receive an automatic birth into the NCAA Tournament.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville advanced to its fifth ASUN Conference Lacrosse Championship Final on Thursday afternoon with a 17-4 rout of No. 4 seed Old Dominion. The Dolphins will now get the winner of No. 2 Coastal Carolina and No. 3 Kennesaw State.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina advanced to its second straight ASUN Championship Final, as they downed No. 3 seed Kennesaw State, 18-8. The Chanticleers will get a rematch of last year's ASUN Final, as they get No. 1 seed Jacksonville. The Dolphins won last year's meeting by the narrow score of 11-10.

    LakePoint, Ga. - The ASUN Conference awarded the 2018 ASUN Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor to Old Dominion's Cydney Tutchton as she becomes the first Monarch to win the award, the league office announced at its annual awards banquet on Wednesday. Tutchton is joined by 11 other lacrosse student-athletes on this year's All-Academic Team.

    LakePoint, Ga. - For the fourth time in program history, the Jacksonville Dolphins featued the ASUN Conference Lacrosse Player of the Year, as midfielder Ashtyn Hiron garnered the award by unanimous vote. Coastal Carolina's goalie Harley Barrett captured her first ASUN Defensive Player of the Year honor to highlight Wednesday's night awards banquet. Kennesaw State's Siena Gore was voted the ASUN Freshman of the Year after bursting onto the scene, with JU's Mindy McCord and Coastal's Kristen Selvage sharing Coach of the Year accolades.

Jacksonville's Ashtyn Hiron takes home her seventh career ASUN Player of the Week award this week, adding to her ASUN career lead. It is also Hiron's sixth award of the year, which is also a single-season record. Coastal Carolina's Harley Barrett garners her sixth career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, which is tied for most all-time, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

    LakePoint, Ga. - Jacksonville, Coastal Carolina and Kennesaw State all picked up victories in the last weekend of the 2018 regular season. JU downed Stetson 21-7 to secure the ASUN Regular Title outright. Coastal clinched the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Championship as they beat Old Dominion on Saturday. The Owls beat Howard 20-6 on Sunday to finish .500 in conference play for the first time in conference play.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five. For Jacksonville University women's lacrosse, that's how many ASUN Conference Regular Season titles they owned or shared a piece of heading into Sunday's game. Following the final horn, the Dolphins upped that number to six in the ASUN (seven overall) as they rolled past Kennesaw State with a 24-8 victory, Sunday afternoon at D.B. Milne Field.

    LakePoint, Ga. - Old Dominion and Howard opened up the ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse season on Thursday afternoon, as the Monarchs took down the Bison 20-8. Coastal Carolina, Stetson and Jacksonville all picked up non-conference victories in cross-over matchups with SoCon opponents.
